The High Sheriff’s rural ‘walk-and-talk’ event programme
Dame Fiona Reynolds, one of our Vice Presidents, has recently taken on the special role of High Sheriff of Gloucestershire. As part of her year in office, she is hosting a series of monthly ‘walk-and-talk’ events across the county, celebrating and exploring rural Gloucestershire.
Each month, the High Sheriff will partner with a different organisation to deliver a themed walk, bringing fresh perspectives on the opportunities and challenges of our rural county.
The next walk will take place at Snowshill Manor on Friday 3 July, in collaboration with the National Trust. The theme for this event is “Sustainable tourism in rural areas.”
COMING SOON: Our collaborative walk
We’re delighted to be part of this inspiring programme later in the year, when we will join the High Sheriff and Tewkesbury Borough Council to deliver an event in Tewkesbury on Friday 28 August 2026.
The theme for our event is “Future communities: living alongside historic floodplains.”
The event will begin with a guided walk through Tewkesbury, followed by an opportunity to gather at the beautiful Tewkesbury Abbey. Here, refreshments will be served alongside a thought-provoking discussion led by guest speakers exploring the event’s theme.
