One Last Farm, One Last Chance invites attendees to an evening of thought-provoking documentaries and insightful discussions on the urgent need for sustainable farming practices to protect both our planet and its inhabitants. This event will bring together crucial conversations about food production and environmental conservation.
About the event
The event will begin with a screening of One Last Farm, a poignant documentary directed by Nikki Dodd. The film takes viewers into the heart of Yew Tree Farm, Bristol’s last working farm, and chronicles its battle to protect its unique wildlife habitat from encroaching development. This powerful film is a call to action, showcasing the importance of preserving spaces where nature and agriculture coexist harmoniously.
Following this, the evening continues with Save Our Wild Isles: Hungry for Change, an award-winning film produced by Silverback Films and led by Nick Gates. The film explores the devastating impact of the food system on UK nature, highlighting the urgent need for change and offering solutions for how we can reduce this impact moving forward.
After the screenings, there will be a informative panel discussion featuring the filmmakers and experts at the intersection of food production and conservation. The panel will offer a chance to delve deeper into the issues raised in the films and discuss actionable solutions for a more sustainable food system.
Panelists include:

- Nick Gates, Filmmaker, Silverback Films
- Patrick Holden, Founder & CEO of the Sustainable Food Trust
- Sumita Hutchison, Chair of the West of England Nature Partnership
