What do our volunteers do?

Our wonderful volunteers support us in countless ways.

Many serve on one of our six District Committees, working tirelessly to ensure that planning proposals submitted to local authorities reflect and respect our values. Others share their specialist expertise, help at events, represent us at local fairs, support fundraising activities, or assist with essential administration.

Many also play a hands-on role in projects such as Hedgerow Heroes, helping to plant and restore hedgerows across Gloucestershire to support wildlife and strengthen our countryside, or LandWise, which surveys the county’s overlooked brownfield sites.

Every volunteer makes a valuable contribution to protecting and enhancing the places we all care so deeply about. Their time, skills and dedication are at the heart of what we do, and we are enormously grateful for their support.
