Strategic Planning in Gloucestershire – position statement

Our statement on strategic planning in Gloucestershire was largely drafted before the impact of the current pandemic, but the principles and priorities that it sets out remain central to our vision of the right future for Gloucestershire.

The future will not be the same as the past. We need to learn the lessons that the pandemic has taught. It is clear that we need to protect the countryside that has proved so valuable to personal well-being during the crisis. And it is more clear than ever before that we need to ensure a future for our County that is sustainable – environmentally and economically.
