A Midsummer Evening at Burnt Norton: A Celebration of Countryside, Heritage & Literature
Saturday 12th July 2025
Tickets will be available soon for this rare opportunity to explore one of Gloucestershire’s most historic estates, Burnt Norton, by kind courtesy of the Earl and Countess of Harrowby.
This special midsummer gathering offers an enchanting evening of history, literature, and countryside splendour, whilst raising vital funds for our charity.
Lady Harrowby will welcome guests with a fascinating insight into Burnt Norton’s past, including its connection to T.S. Eliot’s celebrated Four Quartets. A guided promenade through the gardens will highlight the estate’s poetic legacy, followed by an opportunity to enjoy the stunning grounds.
The evening continues with canapés, drinks, and a discussion of Lady Harrowby’s latest book, The Pieces of Us (2024), with copies available for signing. A raffle will also take place, supporting CPRE Gloucestershire’s vital work in protecting our countryside. Stay tuned – tickets will go live soon!
