Richard Lloyd MBE, a countryside champion
Richard devoted decades of service to CPRE, both in Gloucestershire and nationally. As Vice Chair of CPRE Gloucestershire, he played an important role in shaping our work and championing the protection of the countryside.
Alongside this, he built a distinguished career in environmental policy, including roles at the Countryside Commission and on the Cotswolds AONB Board, and was widely respected for his expertise and collaborative approach.
He also founded our CPRE Gloucestershire Awards Scheme, recognising over 100 outstanding projects — making this award a fitting tribute to his lasting legacy.
