A new article from discusses the new government responsibility on environmental principles which will test its green commitment.
The fourth part of the government’s new environmental governance system goes live today. With this, government ministers are to take account of a policy statement on five environmental principles in their policy making. This follows a six-year campaign.
This could generate significant change but only if principles are used imaginatively and with purpose.
