Update on the government’s environmental principles

The fourth part of the government’s new environmental governance system goes live today. With this, government ministers are to take account of a policy statement on five environmental principles in their policy making. This follows a six-year campaign.

This could generate significant change but only if principles are used imaginatively and with purpose.
