Have your say: National Planning Policy Framework
The government has published a draft National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF), and CPRE thinks there are several proposed changes which could have a major impact on how the countryside is protected and managed. This is your opportunity to have your say…
Responding to national consultations like this is one of the most direct ways to influence government policy. It allows you to express your support or concerns and to explain how the proposals could affect your local area or community.
The consultation is open for a limited period, closing at 11.45pm on Tuesday 10th March.
All responses are logged and reviewed by civil servants, who analyse themes, levels of support, and areas of concern. Clear, individual responses help show how policies would work in practice and demonstrate what matters most to people on the ground.
What’s at stake?
Our National CPRE team has identified the areas of the consultation that are most important for the countryside, focusing on:
- Green Belt protection
- Rural affordable housing
- ‘Valued landscapes’ and the wider countryside
