Join our Board of Trustees
We’re passionate about making the countryside in Gloucestershire a better place for everyone to enjoy. Our vibrant team of volunteers inspire people to care for the countryside and enjoy the benefits it brings wherever they live.
Joining our board is a fantastic way to help us champion environmental issues such as the climate emergency, renewable energy, truly affordable housing, loss of green belt, regenerative farming, land management and sustainable transport. As a trustee you’ll have an essential role in contributing towards the direction of our charity. Trustees also help to provide continuity, govern the charity and guide our future work.
We are keen to hear from people who have good experience and knowledge of rural life (whether from an economic, societal, or environmental perspective). We would be particularly keen to hear from people who have expertise in campaigning, marketing, or communications. A knowledge of sound charity governance would be a welcome addition.
Trustees may hold office for up to six continuous years, subject to election or re-election annually at the AGM. Board meetings are normally held quarterly, usually in Gloucester, with occasional sub-group meetings.
Our dedicated team will provide you with training and support to develop in your role. You’ll gain valuable skills and experience in charity governance.
